For only $395 you can learn the basic skills needed to construct an RV kit. We teach basic sheet metal skills, basic RV construction and provide hands-on tool training. Your spouse or building partner can join you for only $50 more.

Students will need to bring their own ear protection, safety glasses and wear appropriate shoes. A $50 non-refundable deposit will hold your position in the class. Class times are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern time)

Ready to start but feeling a little overwhelmed? Let us help. Just bring your empennage kit with you or have Van's Aircraft ship it directly to our shop. Come in, build it, then take it home complete. Our Empennage Building Class will run at your pace. 

For $2450* you'll receive 7 (10 hour) days of assistance and instruction, the use of our shop tools and space to complete your empennage. (This price applies to all the RV series except the RV-10A). 

Pricing for the RV-10A is $2800 for 8 (10 hour) days for the empennage and $1000 for 4 (10 hour) days for the empennage cone up to final assembly. 

In our class you will build the empennage with our support and when you leave you will have the skills and confidence you need to complete your project. We offer a flexible schedule and have time to give you the one on one attention we feel is necessary to provide excellent instruction. 

*After 70 hours, the remaining time would be at $35/hour.
