I’ve been thinking about the building class we attended over the weekend and want all of you to know how much Peggy and I enjoyed participating. Andrea’s encouragement helped Peggy and now I think she really believes we can build a plane; she shows off our project to everyone! I’d made up my mind that moving forward with a project of this magnitude would be suicidal if she wasn’t onboard. I can see there will be many tasks she can help with and also realize her limitations but I’m feeling better about moving to the next step after taking the class.
I believe everyone has a special gift and I’ve always been attracted to people who excel in what they love and how they share their gifts. Troy you’re a gifted teacher and it doesn’t take long to see that you love what you do. You’re a valuable asset to anyone building an RV and we’re very fortunate to have you in the area. I would certainly recommend your building class to anyone interested in getting started with a building project and for the support you can give through the process.
Thanks to all for the fun we had learning in the builder’s class; it was worth the cost of admission.

My wife, Sandy, and I started thinking about an RV-10 project. We didn't have any aircraft construction background and we needed to know what we were potentially getting into, whether our skills were sufficient, and to make sure we could work together on this type of a project in order arrive at the final decision to start a plane. We found out about the Grov-Air class and signed up. The class was extremely helpful to help us make our decision to proceed, which we did. We are now in the midst of the wings on our RV-10 and it is safe to say that everything we learned in the class has been very useful, in fact essential. We could not have gotten going without this training and the Grov-Air class was excellent preparation. Since Troy's wife also participated in the instruction and mentoring, my wife found it to be a positive motivator to help her realize she could do an RV project. Since we have gotten into on our project we have learned much more, but the Grov-Air class was an excellent starting point. For the inexperienced thinking about an RV project, such as us, we highly recommend the class!

The builder assistance program Troy Grover offers is loaded with opportunities for all aircraft builders. Troy is an accomplished A & P mechanic and avionics technician, he also has vast experience in fiberglass techniques. Troy's overall knowledge and experience level makes him to be one of the best in the business. For an amateur aircraft builder this means the information and skill level needed to finish your project in a reasonable time frame is all in one source. Troy is a wealth of information having built several RVs, so you get the advantage of "been there, done that."
So much time in building is spent staring at plans and trying to reinvent the wheel, but with Troy, you'll have the confidence and advantage of his experience to guide you over the difficult "not so sure how I do that" parts of the project.
For those of you who want the best in avionics. Troy's avionics expertise will certainly prove to be invaluable.
I have been working on my project now for the last several months. I have found Troy to be very easy to work with. I have learned a lot about sheet metal work and fiberglass and I am looking forward to the wiring of the avionics. Troy has been a great teacher, and we have had a lot of fun. Oh yes, remember keep it "fun".
